Corrections Policy

Ajako Taja articles are drafted with AI from multiple outlets' reporting and fact-checked by our editorial team before publishing. Mistakes can still happen — here is how to tell us and what we do about it.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. Our Commitment

We want every article to be accurate. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly rather than quietly. Because our articles summarise other outlets' reporting with AI assistance, an error can come from a source, from the AI draft, or from our review — whichever it is, the fix is our responsibility.

This page is a stand-alone version of the corrections section of our Editorial Policy. See also our AI Disclosure.

2. How to Report an Error

Email ajakotaja@gmail.com or use our contact page. To help us act quickly, please include:

  • The article's URL
  • What is wrong (quote the sentence if you can)
  • What you believe is correct, with a link to a primary or authoritative source where available

You don't need to give your name. We don't publish who reported an error.

3. How Reports Are Reviewed

  • We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days
  • A member of the editorial team checks the article against the original outlets linked under "How outlets covered it" and against the source you provided
  • If the error is confirmed, we aim to correct it within 5 business days — sooner for anything that could cause harm
  • If we conclude the article is accurate, we'll reply and explain why

4. How Corrections Are Made

  • The article is corrected in place, at the same URL, so existing links keep working
  • Once an article's text is changed, it shows an "Updated" time next to its publication date, and its structured data (dateModified) reflects the edit. Routine changes such as view counts never count as updates
  • For a significant correction — a wrong fact, figure, name or attribution that changes the meaning — we add a short correction note to the article text saying what was changed
  • Minor fixes such as typos or formatting are corrected without a note
  • Social media posts that were already shared can't be edited through our scheduling tool; for significant errors we delete the original post on that platform where possible

5. Retractions & Duplicates

  • An article that is wholly inaccurate (for example, based on a report its outlet has retracted) is unpublished
  • If we published the same story twice, the duplicate is removed and its address redirects to the original article

6. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers articles published on Ajako Taja. Errors in an original outlet's reporting should also be raised with that outlet — we link to each one under "How outlets covered it". For copyright concerns, see our DMCA policy; for comments, see our Community Guidelines.
